Why I Paint

As a landscape painter I am fortunate to live in the inspiring Lake Sunapee Region of New Hampshire. I love painting outside and find unlimited inspiration from the beauty in nature. What makes plein air painting so exciting and energetic is the press of time and the desire to capture the ever-changing light. I love observing light as it dances  and reflects on the beauty of nature that is all around us. Water is one of my favorite subjects. I paint only in oil because of the richness of color and the flexibility of this medium.
