I am grateful that I am able to express myself through my art, be it graphic design, writing or landscape oil painting.

Being an artist means that I see things others may not. When I look around I am always analyzing form, color and tone.  I appreciate the design and patterns that nature makes and strive to capture these in my paintings. I love painting en plein air (in open air) and find unlimited inspiration from the beauty in nature. Water is one of my favorite subjects. I paint only in oil because of the richness of color and the flexibility of this medium. Influenced by the great Impressionists, my goal is to capture light and atmosphere in every painting while creating a well composed, unique and interesting work of art. I want the viewer to see and feel the beauty, tranquility and wonder that exists in nature.

My formal education includes degrees from Northeastern University and Massachusetts College of Art. However, I have been fortunate to study with some wonderful artists such as the late Frances Weston Hoyt of New London who was a Frank Vincent DuMond student, John Traynor and Gil Perry who has been a great source of inspiration and support. I am a juried member of the New Hampshire Art Association, a past adjunct professor at Colby-Sawyer College and  New Hampshire Institute of Art.

My work has appeared in local and regional juried shows and galleries.
